Kim Hawley is nothing short of amazing. Several people recommended her to my husband and me. We were looking to sell our home but wanted to know what renovations needed to be made to get top dollar. After an unimpressive meeting with a different realtor, we decided to talk to Kim and see what she had to say. We immediately fell in love with her. This lady knows her stuff. She gave us recommendations on what to upgrade, what did and didn’t need to be fixed, etc. She is so warm and funny that the whole conversation ended up feeling like a meeting with an old friend. She showed us comps and we worked together to determine a date for the house to be market-ready. When it came time to sell, we were a little sparse on furnishings so there she was, staging our house with things from her own home! She made our house look amazing. The pictures were absolutely stunning and really showed our house at its best. During the showing process, Kim was always very respectful of our time. She made sure agents checked with her (and therefore me) before viewings so we had plenty of time to prepare. When it came time to sell, Kim was a stellar negotiator. Her hunches were always right and we trusted her completely. In the end she made a difficult process seamless and easy. After our house sale, my husband and I decided to rent a place so that we could take our time finding the perfect new home. Kim was awesome, checking in with us constantly and e-mailing us with listings. Our home buying process ended up taking several months. We were very particular in what we wanted in a home and where we wanted it to be. Another realtor might have given up on us. They may have been slow responding to phone calls, not so willing to take the time to show us more prospects. I cannot stress this enough: Kim was always there for us. She went above and beyond for us, every time. She found us the perfect home and with her wealth of realtor-savvy, made it happen for us, which was not an easy task. She ensured that the whole process went as smoothly as possible. Negotiations, inspections, any and all problems were addressed quickly and successfully. During our long journey, Kim became more than a realtor. She became our friend. We were so used to seeing her and talking to her on a daily basis, it was bittersweet when we finally bought a home and signed our documents. My husband and I had delayed our search for our first home for a long time, but I finally decided to contact Kim with a friend's encouragement and recommendation. We weren't sure if any realtor would want to take us on as clients because our budget was rather humble. I finally got the courage to email Kim, and she called me back within the hour. She was very friendly and encouraging from that first conversation! We set up our first meeting for the week of Thanksgiving. Our meeting with Kim in person was wonderful- she was very knowledgeable about the home buying process and kindly helped educate us. Kim was undaunted by our budget constraints and continued to encourage us that we could achieve our dream of buying a home. I was about eight months pregnant at the time and joked with Kim that I would love to find a house before baby arrived! Kim followed up after our meeting with email listings of houses to start looking through. I could tell she listened very closely to our wants and needs by the houses she recommended to us. After doing some of our own research and legwork to narrow down our interests, we met up with Kim the following week to visit a few homes in person. We decided to make an offer on one of the houses that day! We held our breath because it definitely looked like our dream home. Kim acted quickly to get our offer in to the sellers, and after working some of her magic, we somehow got into escrow for our dream home! Escrow was a stressful time full of paperwork and deadlines, but Kim always made herself available to us to provide encouragement and answer our questions. She stayed way ahead of the game and gave us updates on what to expect at each step in the process. Her negotiation skills and excellent reputation in the industry were invaluable as we worked with the loan agency, inspectors, and others. We ended up receiving the keys for our home on Christmas Day- the best Christmas gift ever for our family! And yes, we were able to move in completely a month before our baby was born! We cannot give a high enough recommendation for Kim. She is everything we hoped and dreamed we could find in a realtor! Our home buying experience lasted a little more than 6 weeks but Kim would have been a joy to work with no matter how long it took! Needless to say, we love our home and it is everything that we dreamed of. We have recommended her to all of our friends and will continue to spread the word. Thank you so much Kim!

When we were looking for a real estate agent, we interviewed a handful. Kim stood out from the others we interviewed for a few reasons. She had done her homework before our meeting, and she focused on the areas we were interested in, and was realistic in house options for our budget. At the end of the day, we just felt more comfortable working with Kim because we didn't feel like we were just another one of her customers; we felt like she would work with us to find exactly what we wanted! We were first time home buyers, and she held our hands through the whole process, and provided resources for loan agents, contractors, and home inspectors. She answered all our questions and was very responsive. When we were looking at houses, she provided insight to the neighborhood, she pointed out red flags, and helped us really find what we wanted in a home. The next time we look for a home, we will definitely be calling Kim to help us!

Kim helped us buy our home in April of 2014, but she had been (cheerfully and tirelessly) with us through the whole process starting in November of 2013. We didn't know San Diego well at all, and she helped us through every step of getting just the right place for us from figuring out what area of town suited us best all the way through escrow. Before working with Kim, we thought we had had the best agent ever with our previous home purchase in another city, but when we started to work with Kim, she totally blew us away! She was always very responsive and had what was important to us in mind when suggesting properties to consider. We never felt like we were just a pair of names on a client list to her she was extremely personable and approachable, along with being highly professional and knowledgeable. Kim keeps her clients informed any time, any day. Communicates clearly and informatively. Her knowledge of the real estate business is superb. You need good people skills to be in the real estate sales business and she has skills abundantly. After my spouse and I left San Diego for San Antonio, Texas, she forwarded important mail and even some of my life-sustaining VA medications to our temporary P.O. box! Escrow on our SA home closes Sept. 21, so I didn't have to wait until then for continued medication dosages. Anyone buying or selling a home cannot go wrong with Kim Hawley.

Kim Hawley saved us! Two other agents thoughts on what the sales price should be were way below what Kim thought it could be. Then she said she sell the house in a week and we’d get multiple offers above the asking price. So we chose Kim and was she was right! She presented us with 9 written offers in a week. Kim was excellent in the negotiations. She guided us through the contingency period all the way to closing with confidence and flawless follow through. As I said in the beginning, “Kim saved us”. Believe me, she’ll save you too.

Kim is an amazing realtor. We had complete confidence that she was working for us at every step of the process. She quickly got a sense of what we were looking for, and was responsive and flexible when we were thinking through our options, changing our minds, and going in different directions. She was extremely professional and calm, and took care of things for us that we have never had a real estate agent do for us before. We couldn't be happier with our experience working with her to find our new home.

I've had Kim as my realtor twice, and the next time I want to purchase anything, she's my go-to. She's always prepared, she's connected, she's communicative, and she's calm - all things that make the property purchase process much easier. Kim was referred to us by a friend, who was referred to her from their friend. Probably all you need to know. Kim is everything you want a realtor to be, and then some. Great knowledge, highly responsive, got us a great deal on the house, and throughout she was able to deal with emotional buyers with calmness and a really good sense of humor but also with a willingness to be honest when we needed it.
